One of the things I love the most about Christmas is that it’s the one time of year when we take a break from life and just enjoy time with family, doing things we love. For my family this year the activity is coloring, of course!
A wonderful source for inspiration for me this year has been Sarah Renae Clark and her Christmas printables.

It is not just the holiday season: life in general can be stressful, and it can wreak havoc on our minds as well as our everyday responsibilities.
Aromatherapy, which involves the use of essential oils as a complementary health approach, has grown in popularity as a way to de-stress, just like coloring. Some studies have shown that aromatherapy might have health benefits, such as:
Relief from anxiety and depression
Improved quality of life, particularly for people with chronic health conditions
I suffer from chronic back and neck pain from degenerative disc disease as well as herniated discs. And of course, I sometimes get sooo into my coloring that my neck and shoulders get tired and achy!
My physiotherapist and pain doctor have made heat and massage essential to my pain management program. And my research has told me that massage may have other health benefits as well: it may help lower hormonal markers of stress and decrease blood pressure. However, regular massages from a Registered Massage Therapist are pricey and kneading away the pain isn’t exactly my husband’s favorite past time.
